FaceTory Face Mask Review

I may not be thrilled to be in social isolation, but my face is so happy right now! No makeup, face masks several times a week, and more than enough time for keeping a good nighttime skincare routine. (Keep your eye out for our DIY home facial coming soon.) My skin has never looked better! I was so happy when I got this fantastic set of face masks from FaceTory and my girls and I couldn’t wait to test them out.

Enjoy!

FaceTory Face Masks

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:

Travel can wreak havoc on your skin.  From changes in temperature, sun irritation, and that mysterious craziness an airplane creates on your face. (I always break out after a flight!)  A face mask is the perfect skincare tool to carry in your suitcase.  It takes up almost no room, is easy to apply, and it is a nice way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.

We LOVED using these masks.  Trust me when I say we are experts on face masks because we have tried a ton! All of these masks left our skin moisturized, but not greasy like many masks do.  They also don’t have too much face cream on them so they were not gooey like some can be.

They come in such a cheerful package…which is a fun thing to see when you’re home in seclusion.

March Product Roundup

February’s product roundup is all about comfy shoes and soothing teas…two things that can make any trip more enjoyable.  This post is quite late…and I apologize to the companies.  It has been a crazy time in America and I had to take some time to get my family prepared and organized for the months ahead.  The good news is I have had many companies asking for me to review new products so I can’t wait to share them all with you.  This month involves three amazing products that I have been enjoying over and over…

Enjoy!

Arcopedico Shoes: Luana

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM

Arcopedico makes the best shoes for travel because they have a twin arch support system that allows you to spend lots of time on your feet.  I wore these shoes walking around Boston, and my feet still felt great at the end of the day.  They were even comfortable on cobblestone streets.  My teenage daughter steals them from me every chance she gets and even wore them on stage for a singing performance. They’re great for all ages.

Dinnerly Meal Kit Subscription

Why would travelers like Dinnerly?

As much as I love to cook, I have to admit that some weeks my life gets crazy and I would love a little help.  This week I was in full planning mode for our trip to Portugal, and there would have been lots of ‘breakfast for dinner’ meals if Dinnerly wasn’t there to save me.  It’s also a great solution for when you return from your trip and haven’t gotten back to reality.

Dinnerly is a meal kit made for people who like cooking at home, at affordable prices, and without having to shop for all the ingredients.  So, pour a glass of wine, pull up your recipes, and enjoy cooking a great meal.

It’s so impressive to open the box! Look at all you get.

I decided to separate the ingredients and put them in a bag with the recipe so I just had to grab it when it was time to cook.

Great Subscription Boxes for Travelers

You all know how much I love subscription boxes.  I do a little happy dance when I get to my mailbox and see a mysterious package in there. Each box feels like a gift you can unwrap and enjoy each month or each quarter, so it is the gift that keeps giving.  I recently had the pleasure of experiencing three boxes that I fell in love with.

Take a peek at these 3 subscription boxes that make great gifts for travelers…

EXPLORE LOCAL BOX

mytravelingkids.com

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THIS SUBSCRIPTION BOX

One of the most important reasons to travel is to learn about the culture of the area.  Most of us would love to see more states, but we don’t have the time or funds to hop around the country.  Explore Local Box lets you “travel” around the country without leaving your home. It’s great that you get to learn about the artisans and small business owners who creates them.  The box also comes with a card that tells you lots of facts about the city, lets you know why the state is important, and what a tourist can do there.

Product Roundup: November

As the holidays approach, I wanted to share three products that I tested out last month and I think are really great.  I brought all of these items to Barcelona, Spain last month so I could tell you all about traveling with them. Enjoy the November Product Roundup!

Arcopedico Shoe: VEGAS

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:

Arcopedico makes the best shoes for travel because they have a twin arch support system that allows you to spend lots of time on your feet.  I wore these shoes when I was walking around Barcelona and my feet never hurt at the end of the day.  They are even comfortable on cobblestone streets.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM:

They are lined with a soft interior so you don’t even have to wear socks with them.  You can use these shoes with casual clothes and can also dress up an outfit with them, so you can pack less shoes. They are easy to take off when going through security, and are light weight so I can throw them in my travel bag.

COST:

$145

Monthly Product Roundup: August

So sorry that this is a week late…end of summer got in the way! It was the last week of summer in our house before school started and we were trying to squeeze every bit of summer fun out of the time we had left. So now, back to the products we tested out this month that we fell in love with! Enjoy!

Lamo Sneakers

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM: I am always looking for a sneaker that looks cute and are comfortable on my feet.  The light blue color on these Lamo sneakers are perfect to wear with everything and I’ve been wearing them all summer.  I just wore them the other day to Santa’s Village and I was so impressed that they were still comfortable after a day of wearing them at an amusement park.

Product Roundup: June…a Few of My Favorite Travel Items

Product: Nowa Watch

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM: My husband travels a lot for work and doesn’t like wearing his Apple watch since it is not dressy enough to wear with suits. As soon as he saw this watch, he claimed it for his own and has been wearing it ever since.  There is so much you can do with it.  The watch connects wirelessly to your smartphone and get this…it doesn’t need to be charged! It runs for 8 months on a standard watch battery.  Since each day the watch records your steps, distance, and calories burned, it’s a convenient way to see how active you’re being while traveling.  It also records how well you sleep at night.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM: I take forever to get a good selfie shot and I refuse to use a selfie stick, so with the Nowa watch, you can open the camera controls using the app and push down on the crown to shoot! The watch also can help you find your phone as long as it is within Bluetooth range. Another feature I like is that you are notified when you’re receiving a call and can reject it…because who needs to talk on the phone when you’re on vacation!

2 Amazing Subscription Boxes!

I wanted to share 2 amazing subscription boxes that I’ve enjoyed using last month!

Box #1: Norlii June Box

I love a box that allows people to experience different cultures without having to leave their home.  Norlii is a bimonthly Scandinavian Subscription Box shipping directly from Scandinavia, that features home decor and lifestyle accessories.  The theme of this box was Tivoli, which is a 175-year-old amusement park located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark.  The park features rides, attractions, beautiful gardens, and peacocks that roam free.

Product Review Roundup: May

I am always on the lookout for products that travelers will love and will make their travels easier. Come on…travel can be stressful, so anything that makes life easier is welcomed. Each month I will do a roundup of products I’ve found and test them out to see if they’re something I would actually use. This is actually May’s list, but I’m a few days behind because I’ve been stuck in bed for the last three days because of the mother-of-all kinks in my neck. Here’s what I found this month:

Arcopedico Shoes

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM: These are one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I own and I’ve been bringing them with me everywhere I’ve been traveling.  They are lightweight so I can throw them in my carry-on and they are easy to remove when I’m going through security. They are also super cute and the grey color goes with everything.  I normally wear a size 8 ½ and I got the size 40 but wish I’d gotten the 39 because it is a little big on me.

Smartass and Sass…March Box

Once again…if you are not a fan of cursing, you may want to skip this piece because the items in this box have been known to drop some f-bombs…lol!  This is my new favorite subscription because it reminds me of my friends and I when we get together without kids!  It is a perfect balance of snark and charm, with a dash of profanity!  That’s SO US!!! Smartass and Sass is an amazing way to treat yourself every month!

What comes in each box?

Each box has 5-8 handmade, hilarious items. The items have a and all of the items will relate to it. It includes things like mugs, notebooks, tote bags, water bottles, pens & pencils, magnets, candles, etc.  It has items you probably would never buy yourself but secretly wish someone would buy for you.  It reminds me of getting a care package from your best friend.

We couldn’t wait to peek inside!

So, what was in the box this month? SO MUCH!!!
