When we travel, we are always on the go and I often forget to leave time for relaxation.  When we go to theme parks in Orlando it often involves crowds, endless lines, and aching feet.  But all that changed when I stepped into Reflections Spa, located in the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.  They offer many treatments such as massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.  But the treatments are not your typical ones…they include elements from nature such as stones, warm milk, honey, coconut water, and cane sugar.

 

As you step into this beautiful 12,000 square foot facility you are transported into a Zen oasis.  The Ladies Lounge has all the amenities you could need including shampoo, conditioner, spray deodorant, mouthwash, and lotions.

 

Next to the lounge is a large sauna, which is a great way to end a massage or facial. 

 

The treatment rooms are comfortable and can provide couples treatments.

 

The waiting room is nicely decorated with sea shells and a nautical theme.  It is comfortable and soothing.  They provide a variety of complimentary hot teas and we were given a cold bottled water when we arrived.  There is a beautiful fish tank filled with tropical fish and the room is large so people can have their own space as they wait. 

 

ISLAND BLISS HOT STONE PEDICURE

I had the pleasure of experiencing the most amazing hot stone pedicure.  First they soaked my feet in a coconut bath that was so warm I immediately felt the stress fade away.  After, my nails were sculpted  and a sugar scrub was applied to exfoliate my skin.  Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I got the best treat…a hot stone leg and foot massage.  Was it over?  Not yet.  A paraffin wax treatment left my skin feeling silky smooth. The paraffin treatment was very sanitary.  She put hot wax in individual bags, put my feet into them, and wrapped the bag with a warm towel.  That way your feet do not touch hot wax that other people have used.  Finally, polish was applied to complete the treatment.
