Another beautiful farm I visited was Pineland Farm, in New Gloucester, Maine. I visited this farm when I was staying in Freeport for the night.
Pineland Farm
New Gloucester, Maine
Pineland Farm is a 5,000-acre working farm that welcomes visitors to enjoy its beautiful rural landscape.
The scenery is picturesque
and you’ll love seeing their adorable cows.
If you go during fall, there is an amazing corn maze
and pumpkin patch.
Make sure you stop by the market to pick up some goodies.
Farm Animals
The farmyard is open daily year-round from 10am-4pm with laying hens and Holstein cows in residence. Beginning in mid-May and continuing through September, they welcome a wider variety of animals from local farms to their pastures including goats, sheep, pigs and more.
In June, July and August they offer educator-led hourly activities in the farmyard, some of which could include hand milking a Holstein cow, collecting chicken eggs or meeting the sheep.
