The Ultimate Review of Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino: What You Need to Know

If you’re dreaming of a tropical getaway, the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino might be exactly what you’re looking for. Nestled on the beautiful shores of Palm Beach, this luxurious resort offers everything from spacious rooms with ocean views to world-class dining and an exciting casino. Whether you’re planning a relaxing beach vacation or looking for a little adventure, the Aruba Marriott has it all. In this review, we’ll dive into what makes this resort a top choice for travelers and why it stands out as one of the best places to stay in Aruba.

After a long, cold winter (did I mention LONG?) my thirteen-year-old daughter and I couldn’t wait to get our toes in the sand. We were on our first solo mom/daughter trip outside of the US, and Aruba was the perfect destination for our stay. There are several Marriott hotels on the island and we couldn’t choose which to stay at so we decided to stay at two of them because they were right near each other.  Let me tell you all about our first hotel…the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

Where do you fly in to?

The best place to fly in is Queen Beatrix International Airport

The hotel is a quick, 20-minute drive from the airport.

First impression

The lobby was huge, with lots of sitting areas.  Throughout the lobby, there were stores ranging from souvenirs to high-end jewelry. Check-in was easy and they provided tons of information about the 414-room hotel.

Let me show you around our room.

We upgraded to room #427 a

Junior Suite

The room had modern décor with subtle Caribbean touches like framed palm trees pictures in black and white. The gray colors of the room had a splash of color with the turquoise accent wall.

There were two walls of wall to ceiling windows so the room was flooded with natural light.  The black-out shades were perfect for sunny mornings.  There was a comfortable couch and large coffee table that created a cozy sitting area.

There was a dresser where we could put our clothes and a simple desk where someone could get some work done. The room also had a spacious walk-in closet.

After a long day playing in the sun, it was nice to be able to sit here for a bit before dinner.

My favorite thing about this room is the wrap-around balcony!  One section had a table and two chairs and a view of this amazing emerald water!

It was the perfect spot to have your morning cup of coffee.

The second side had two chaise loungers and two chairs with a table that had a view of the adults-only pool.

I loved sitting out here with a glass of wine and this lovely welcome gift.

Our bathroom

The bathroom was enormous with double vanity sinks, which was perfect for getting ready at the same time. I loved that the mirrors lit up!

There was a large walk-in shower.  There was also a water closet, but it had glass walls that didn’t go all the way to the ceiling so there was not a ton of privacy.

As much as we loved our room, we couldn’t wait to explore the grounds.

Let me show you some of our favorite spots.

The Main Pool

One of our favorite spots was the main pool.  We loved the swim-up bar and enjoyed lots of frozen cocktails (and mocktails) throughout the day.

There was music playing all day and there was a fun vibe. There was even live music some days.

We loved watching people play volleyball in the afternoon.

The waterfall is a nice touch.

Palm Beach

This is what we most needed… this pristine white sand and emerald water.

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

The resort has thatched roofed palm leaves palapas that you can use.  They are a wonderful way to get some shade while enjoying the beach.

There were always empty chairs by the pool.

Because the hotel is close to the end of the hotel strip, the beach is not crowded.  In the early evening, it is the perfect time to go for a walk because the beach is almost empty.

Hotel Grounds

The hotel has yard games such as Connect 4, corn hole, and a volleyball net.

They have these fun sitting areas that we played cards in one afternoon.  It was a great place to get some shade and play cards.

Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino

Tennis

The resort has two tennis courts.  You can get your rackets and balls from the towel hut of the Ocean Club and reserve a court.

Stellaris Casino

The Stellaris Casino features over 26 gaming tables and also boasts impressive Aruba poker tables featuring Let it Ride Poker, Three Card Poker, Caribbean Stud Poker, and Blackjack.

Here are some of our favorite restaurants at the hotel

Waves Beach Bar & Grill

We went to Waves one evening for appetizers and cocktails before dinner

The Lobby Bar

We ate lunch twice in the Lobby Bar and let me tell you…it was the best sushi we’d ever had!

We recommend the Tuna Torch, Raisa Roll, and the Acevichado.

Gelato & Co.

This ice cream parlor features so many flavors of gelato and ice cream. They serve in cones, cups, and craft their own ice cream bars.

Starbucks

We came here every morning for a latte to take on our morning walk on the beach.  You can also have it delivered to your room.

Here are a few more restaurants at the hotel that we didn’t get a chance to enjoy:

There is a Ruth’s Chris Steak House and a restaurant right on the beach called Atardi.

Tips for Planning your Stay

If you are a Marriott Rewards member, you can use points towards your room.

Since we are Platinum members for Marriott, we received a card that got us discounts at all Marriott restaurants and a few others in the area.  It also gave us discounts on shops and tours.

Parking: There is ample complimentary on-site parking.

Check-in: 4:00 Check-out: 12:00

They gave us the option for housekeeping, but we chose not to have it.

Room choice? I would definitely get a room with an ocean view.  I would also recommend a room on one of the higher floors for an even better view.

There is a 24-hour front desk.

We had great transportation from the airport by DePalm Tours.
