Anegada, BVI
Anegada feels completely different from the rest of the British Virgin Islands — flat, wild, and surrounded by endless beaches. It’s a favorite for families who want something unique and adventurous.
Where Is Anegada & Why It’s Different
Unlike the volcanic islands of the BVI, Anegada is a coral atoll. The water here is unbelievably clear, and the island feels remote in the best way possible.
Moorings at Anegada: First Come, First Serve
Anegada uses first come, first serve moorings, with no reservations available.
They can fill up quickly due to limited options
Arriving early is strongly recommended
Exploring Anegada by Mini Moke
Renting mini mokes is the best way to explore the island. You will love driving around and hopping between beaches. It is such a unique way to see the beauty of the island. My girls picked this moke for my husband to drive 😊
What did we do on our day exploring Anegada?
Our first stop was Big Bamboo. This place has it all. We went for an amazing swim at their beach.
Next stop was a cocktail at the bar. You can also play lawn games like Jenga or relax in their hammocks under the shade of trees.
Next stop was Anegada Beach Club. We stopped for lunch. They also have a beach as well as a pool.
Our final stop was Tipsy’s, and it was such a fun spot to end the day. Did you know that Santa was a DJ? He played great music that set the mood for the day.
This place will make you feel like a kid again because there are so many games to play like pool, corn hole, connect 4, and horseshoe.
It also has a stunning beach.
The cocktails are fun too!
Lobster Dinner: An Anegada Tradition
Anegada is famous for lobster, and dinner at The Lobster Trap feels special without being formal.
It’s a must-do and a great way to end the day.
