And just like that…summer is almost over. School starts next week and then homework, sports, and after-school activities take the lead. No more lazy afternoons where the hardest decision is which float to lounge on before the sun sets. My girls went away to sleep away camp for the first time so I feel like I was robbed of two weeks of play. Now we are in the final stretch of summer and it’s time to fit in as much fun as we possibly can. Here is our end-of-summer bucket list…
-Finish reading my book, Lilac Girls (preferably on our hammock).
-Start each morning with a walk in the woods.
-Have one last lobster roll.
-Make one last trip to our favorite farmers market in Wolfeboro.
-See one more waterfall.
-Eat outside on the porch every night.
-Go on one more hike.
-Go tubing in the Saco River.
-Go on one more amusement park ride (preferably one that is very fast)!
-Eat some fresh local corn, tomatoes, and zucchini.
-Cook dinner out on the boat and watch one more sunset over the mountains!
Summer is all about making memories and relaxing with loved ones. Make the best of these last days!
