Grand Hotel
When my best friend told me Malahide was one of her favorite towns in Ireland I knew we had to see it for ourselves.
Where do you fly in?
The best place to fly in is Dublin Airport (DUB)

The location can not be beat! This beautiful seaside town is right outside of Dublin and just 15 minutes from Dublin International Airport. Make sure to explore Malahide Castle and Gardens during your visit. It’s the perfect location to head into Dublin, see the sights, and return to the peace and quiet of Malahide. The Grand Hotel is a gorgeous historic building built in 1835 and had been modernized and upgraded throughout the years without losing any of it’s charm. Since it is on the water as well as within walking distance to town, The Grand Hotel is THE place to stay in Malahide. The lobby of the hotel is decorated with elegant chandeliers and tailored couches.
There are plenty of nice areas to sit and relax throughout the hotel.
Our room, number 553, was a corner Family Room with large windows on two sides that flooded the room with light. It contained two double beds and was the most spacious room we had on our whole trip.
The best thing about our room was the lovely view of the water!
Our room included a large work station, a table and two chairs, a safe, and a coffee/tea station with a kettle. The wardrobe was also very large.
The bathroom was spacious and contained nice bath amenities. The towel warmer was a nice treat and the bathtub would be wonderful for families with young children.
Fitness Area
Arena Health and Fitness Club is attached to the hotel. It includes a 21- meter swimming pool, children’s pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, gym, and aerobics room. Be aware that you must wear a swimming cap to use the pool.
The Coast Restaurant
The Coast offers fine dining in a relaxed and comfortable setting. It is bright and airy and the menu looked amazing! We had a lovely breakfast there and it was one of our favorite breakfasts of our trip
Matt Ryan Bar
The Matt Ryan Bar has traditional décor in a warm and comfortable atmosphere. We stopped in here for a Guinness while we waited for our room to be ready.
