Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa
Tampa, Florida
My daughter and I were in Florida looking at colleges and since we wouldn’t be spending much time in our hotel, we decided to stay close to the airport. The Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa checked off all the boxes…comfortable rooms, and its location to restaurants and attractions we were going to.
First impression
After grabbing our rental car from the airport, we had a quick 10-minute drive to the hotel. As soon as we walked in, we felt like we were immersed in a rain forest. The lobby was filled with foliage and the sound of cascading water felt so serene.
Walking through the winding pathways, you felt like you were in a jungle. Along the way there were beautiful water features that set a calm mood.
Let me show you around our suite.
We stayed on the second floor in a
1 Bedroom Executive Suite, 2 Queen(s), Sofa bed
What I loved about this suite was the amount of space we had. The main room had a living room area that had a sofa bed, chair, television, and coffee table.
The kitchen had a mini fridge, coffeemaker, microwave, dish cleaning supplies, silverware, pots, pans, serving dishes, dishes and glasses. I love that they provided free bottled water.
I love that the suite has a door dividing the living room from the bedroom. It would provide privacy if the whole family were staying here. The bedroom had a modern vibe with leather headboards and sleek furniture. It had two comfortable queen beds and the pillows were great. There was a flat-screen tv, and an ironing board and iron. The Wi-Fi worked really well and we never had any problems with it.
Our bathroom was simple but had enough space for both of us to get ready.
The room from the balcony outside our room gave us a lovely view of the lobby.
The hotel has a fabulous pool area.
There is also a fitness room, for those that want to get a good workout when traveling.
The hotel has a business center, which is great for printing out boarding passes.
What we did in the area
The Four Points by Sheraton Suites Tampa is only a 20-minute drive to Busch Garden. We loved the amusement park and it was great being able to relax back at the hotel after a long afternoon of fun.
St. James Restaurant
We had a delicious dinner at the St. James, the hotel restaurant. We loved that even though we were indoors, because we were seated next to the tropical plants in their atrium, we felt like we were sitting outdoors. We had a great meal. I started with a tasty cosmopolitan. For my main meal I had a delicious burger with bleu cheese, mushrooms, and caramelized onions.
