Let me show you around my room. I had the pleasure of staying in the main inn.
#14, the Governor White Room
I was immediately shocked at how large the room was! I walked in to an entryway that contained a huge armoire with two mirrors. Luggage carriers allowed me to store my suitcase and carry-on so they didn’t take up space in the room. Recently renovated, the Governor White room boasts the most modern amenities matched with an elegant, historic charm.
Located in the original 1790′s section of our hotel in Saint Augustine, Florida, this room offers a comfy king-sized bed, hardwood floors, and stunning stone work.
Each room is uniquely decorated, featuring plush bedding, antique furnishings, and modern amenities like free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. The room had a refrigerator, which was perfect for chilling a lovely rosé I bought from San Sebastian Winery in town.
The room has a cozy sitting area that transforms into a convenient twin daybed full of fluffy pillows. The daybed has a twin with trundle, allowing this room to accommodate 4 people. I loved the electric fireplace above it.
The room had a wraparound coach that is perfect for sipping your morning coffee while taking in the breathtaking bay views.
The room offers a bay view from the front window.
Thank you so much for the welcome treat. It was delicious and I loved enjoying it on the deck!
I loved the dining area in the room. It was a nice place to relax as well as get a bit of work done.
My bathroom was beautiful and had a glass bowl sink and an amazing shower. Did I mention it had 5 shower nozzles? It also had lots of water pressure,
Let me show you around the grounds
There were so many lovely spots to enjoy the inn. The hammock would be a wonderful spot to read a book or take a nap at the end of a day exploring St. Augustine.
The gazebo and small tables are a great spot to have breakfast. You can mingle with other guests or settle in to a corner by yourself.
I love the individual spaces the inn gives each room. Private nooks with chairs and tables you can call your own.
Let’s go explore the bayfront.
Everywhere you look you’ll see picturesque views.
Boats wait patiently for the drawbridge.
And a lighthouse is visible in the distance.
Do you love the beach?
If you’re a beach lover, you’ll be happy to know that Bayfront Marin House offers complimentary beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas. St. Augustine Beach is just a short drive away, making it easy to spend the day soaking up the sun, playing in the waves, or enjoying a romantic sunset stroll.
Happy Hour!
The inn gives you your own private happy hour each day! They send you a text and you can choose what time you would like to have it delivered to your room. I enjoyed their fresh pimento cheese sandwich, and sweet treat. They also have a variety of beverages to choose from including red or white sangria, chardonnay, cabernet, white zinfandel, and a selection of beer.
Don’t forget to get your steps in while here
While there isn’t a fitness center on-site, the property’s central location makes it easy to stay active by walking or biking around the historic district. The scenic waterfront paths and is great for a morning walk or a leisurely bike ride.
Make sure you head to the waterfront during golden hour.
Time for dinner
The hotel is within walking distance to so many great restaurants that it’s hard to decide which one to choose. On my way to dinner, I loved seeing the inn lit up in string lights.
Make sure you wake up for the sunrise!
After a wonderful night’s sleep, I couldn’t wait to head over to the bayfront and watch the sunrise. Mother Nature was showing off this morning.
I could have watched the sunrise right from my balcony if I didn’t feel like getting out of my pj’s.
Time for a delicious breakfast
One of the highlights of staying at Bayfront Marin House is their famous breakfast. Each morning, you’ll be treated to a homemade, made-to-order breakfast that can be enjoyed in the dining area, on the porch, or even delivered to your room. I devoured their peach passion bake, yogurt with fresh raspberries, and hot coffee.
