Nine Zero Hotel
(Boston, Massachusetts)
One of the things my daughters and I love to do is see a good show. My daughter’s latest favorite, Hadestown, finally came to Boston and we HAD to go. As soon as we bought tickets, I knew there was only one hotel I wanted to stay at…the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel! This hotel has it all…gorgeous rooms, elegant charm, and one of the most desirable locations in the heart of Boston. I love boutique hotels and the Kimpton Nine Zero Hotel is quaint and welcoming.

The lobby is where you will begin to feel the ambiance of the hotel. The sleek textures of polished wood, marble, metal, and stone are complimented by sumptuous textiles like velvet and leather to create a seductive, luxurious feel. It is elegant and also fun.
Let me show you around my room.
City Skyline 2 Queen Beds
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the room are the use of leather and wood. They immediately give an approachable elegant feel.
The 350 square foot room has a modern vibe created by all the personal touches in the room.
My favorite spot in the room is this sitting area.
I love the rolling leather chair and the dog poster is awesome! The replica of the note from Oliver Wendell Holmes is also a nice touch.
I also liked the old books, the dog statue, and the lamp.
The room had modern amenities but also pays homage to classic elegance of the past. For example, on the nightstand is an in-room tablet and this vintage clock.
There was a large writing desk and great Wi-Fi if you want to get some work done. How great is that lamp?
Our queen beds were so comfortable. We loved the look of the leather headboards and the crisp white linens gave it a welcoming feel.
Our bathroom was huge, especially for a hotel in the city. It had marble floors, dark walls, and a shower/tub. There was a large vanity, which was perfect for two people getting ready at the same time. The cozy cotton robe was a nice treat.
The room had tons of natural light and the windows open for fresh air (4 inches).
Our favorite thing about the room…THIS VIEW!
We could not get enough of this view and were constantly going to the window to get a peek. From our window we had sweeping views of Boston’s skyline,
Boston Public Gardens,
As well as the Charles River.
You might be tempted to stare out your window all day, however, there’s so much to explore in Boston, so it will have to wait.
We had a wonderful day in the city. We walked to the New England Aquarium,
Had lunch at Quincy Market, (and some yummy gelato)
Bought some books at Brattle Book Shop,
Did a little shopping, and walked around the waterfront.
We were exhausted and could not wait to get back to our room to relax before heading out for the night.
We were lounging in our beds and just when we thought the view could not get any better, we were surprised by the sun setting right outside our window. It was stunning!
The hotel recommends having dinner at Mast, which is right around the corner. (In fact, you get a 15% discount when you stay at the hotel.) Even though it was November, there was a crazy heat wave and we were able to eat outside in a gorgeous small dining area. Chef and owner, Marco Caputo has brought Napoli to Boston and we loved everything we tasted. We shared the Fettuccine alla Carbonara (pancetta, eggs, pecorino Romano) and the Ravioli (stuffed with swiss chard, ricotta, truffle butter sauce, and shaved ricotta salata). I can’t wait to go back.
After dinner we walked over to the Opera House to see Hadestown. I felt so safe knowing it would only be an eight-minute walk back to the hotel after the show. Also, on your way back to the hotel, make sure you stop at Insomnia Cookies for a late night treat!
Around the hotel there are several sitting areas.
There is also a lounge you can meet in.
I love the artwork around the hotel.
