Cape Codder
At times I like to travel with just one of my daughters so we can spend some quality one-on-one time together. Recently, I was so pleased to be able to stay at the Cape Codder Resort and Spa, in Hyannis, with my youngest. After looking at the website and seeing the hotel had a water park, she could hardly stop talking about it. The hotel did not disappoint and we had a fabulous time playing throughout our stay. The hotel is located near several beautiful Cape Cod beaches, and near many restaurants and adorable shop.
Our fun began as soon as we walked through the doors, when we noticed the entire hotel was decorated for Halloween. They did such an incredible job that we wished they would come and do our house!! Look at all the fun details they put in it.
At night, the courtyard was filled with spooky décor and we had a nice time walking around after dinner.
There was even a fire pit that we enjoyed.
Our deluxe room was spacious and had two queen-size beds.
The dresser gave the room a quaint feel since it looked like it belonged in a bedroom inside of someone’s home. It also had a refrigerator which was perfect to chill our water (and wine… which is a necessity after a day at a water park.) The desk had a charging station…another lifesaver since I’d forgotten mine at home. Beneath the desk was a table that pulled out, which is convenient since many families are so tired after playing at the water park that they order a pizza from the hotel restaurant and eat it back in their room. The room also included a safe, blow dryer, iron and ironing board. There is also complimentary Wi-Fi in each room.
My daughter loved the view of the water park from our room! Look how pretty it was at night…
The Cape Codder has a 30,000-square foot water park that is sure to keep families busy throughout their stay. The two 160-foot waterslides were so much fun and we went on them over and over again racing each other to the bottom. The lazy river was a blast, especially when they turned the speed up.
I don’t usually go in wave pools because at two other indoor water parks they were closed for cleaning after an “accident” occurred in the pool. I just can’t get the thought out of my mind so I keep my distance from them. However, we had such a nice time in the wave pool at the Cape Codder. The pool was immaculately clean and the lifeguards were very attentive.
The room had a fun pirate ship with two smaller water slides.
Just look at how gorgeous this outdoor pool is! At night the pool uses LED lighting and the waterfall makes the pool so unique. The pool uses salt water and salt regeneration for cleaning. There are lots of cozy lounge chairs surrounding the pool and it looked like a wonderful place to relax. The best part is it’s open year-round! I bet it is so fun to use it in the middle of winter with snow on the ground.
Beach Plum Spa
The Beach Plum Spa looked like a relaxing activity to do during your stay. For myself, I would choose the warm seashell massage and for my girls I would do the chocolate pedicure. The kids drink a warm cup of hot chocolate while their feet soak in a chocolate milk bath and are exfoliated with a chocolate scrub. They finish up with a chocolate mousse lotion.

The arcade was much larger than I had expected and we had so much fun playing games, doing the virtual rides, and playing the claw machines. The only bummer was the prize counter was closed since it is only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays until 3:00. There is a prize vending machine that allows you to use your points, which is a nice alternative.
If we hadn’t been so tired from swimming, I would have loved to go to the Grand Cru Wine Bar and Grill since it had a lovely atmosphere. Take a peek at their menu here.
Instead, we decided to go to the more casual restaurant Hearth ‘n Kettle. Our burgers were delicious and I had a wonderful spiced cider margarita. There were several mistakes made during our meal, but our waitress was quick to correct them. Click here to see their menu.
The Gazebo Café, located in the pool area, is a great option for families that need a break from swimming but don’t want to change out of bathing suits. It offers sandwiches, salads, pizza, appetizers, and a full bar.
