CHECK-IN
This trip was originally going to be with my family but my kids ended up each having games that weekend so I asked my two best friends to join me. We were three moms that needed a girl’s weekend away and Green Harbor Resort was the perfect place to do that. Although we arrived before check-in, we were quickly given a room. The staff at the front desk was so nice. They gave us a map of the resort and pointed out the pool area, shuffleboard, and the mini golf course. They encouraged us to try all the amenities the resort had to offer. When we asked about restaurants in the area, they gave us a map and drew in directions to three cute places on the water. We ate at two of these and they were exactly what we were looking for.
OUR SUITE
We stayed in a two bedroom, two bath, Admiralty Suite. This spacious suite offered 960 square feet of living space, so it felt like an apartment. There were two bedrooms, each with two beds. The master bedroom had two double beds, a full bath, and a television. The room had an amazing view of the water and was a gorgeous sight to wake up to each morning.
The second bedroom had two twin beds and a full bath across the hall. The room had a small dresser and there was a closet located in the hallway area.
The suite had a balcony with a small table, two chairs, and a lounge chair. It had an amazing view of Nantucket Sound. It was a gorgeous spring weekend so we spent a lot of time on this balcony laughing and taking in the view.
The suite offered a kitchen stocked with everything we could need to do some cooking in our room including: pans, pots, baking pans, bowls, colanders, cooking utensils, dishes, glassware, and potholders. I love not having to leave a suite to have breakfast so I can relax in my PJ’s before starting the day. The suite included a coffee maker, coffee filters, and a tea kettle. They even provide dish detergent and paper towels so you have all the conveniences of home. The resort is very family-friendly and have high chairs, booster seats, and bed rails you can borrow.
The living room was comfortable and offered a couch and a cozy chair. The couch converts to a bed in case you need another sleeping area. We loved looking out the window at the amazing view and it offered a great background. The room had a TV and a DVD player.
POOL
The heated outdoor pool offers beautiful views of Lewis Bay. The pool is surrounded by a clear wall so you can see the sand and the ocean from the warm water of the pool. The pool area had lots of chairs and towels.
BEACH
The resort has their own private beach. It is large and has lots of shells on it that my girls would have loved to collect. It is a great beach to go for a walk and offers so many amazing views. They provide beach chairs for their guests and there is a covered area where you could go if you wanted to get out of the sun.
One section of the beach has a playground. It would be so convenient for parents to be able to enjoy the beach while watching their kids play.
AMMENITIES
– You may use all the facilities of any of their sister resorts. On Cape Cod there is also the Red Jacket Beach Resort, Riviera Beach Resort, and the Blue Harbor Resort. This gives you access to four beaches, a golf course, a spa, entertainment, and their Kids Clubs.
– The resort has a free mini golf course with amazing views of the beach and ocean. Pick up your golf clubs and balls at the front desk.
-The resort offers bikes that guests can borrow. This is a great way to see the area around the resort. They even have children’s bikes. They are available in the garage and they ask that you just return them when you are done. They offer helmets, but I’m a big believer in bringing your own.
– If you are on the Cape, you’ve got to get out on the water. The hotel offers canoes and rowboats for all guests to enjoy. They are available from 8:30 until dusk, and they provide life jackets.
– The resort has shuffleboard right at the front entrance. See the front desk to get your equipment.
-There is no restaurant at the resort but there are many nearby. There are also places that deliver food, but many are seasonal.
– Check-In is at 3:00 and Check-Out is at 10:00.
