Red Jacket Beach Resort

For my family, there’s nothing better than a beach vacation to start off our summer.  Cape Cod is one of our favorite places because it gives you the perfect amount of action and relaxation.  The Red Jacket Beach Resort is one of five gorgeous Red Jacket Resorts in Yarmouth.   The resort’s ideal oceanfront location overlooking Nantucket Sound makes it a great home base for day trips on the Cape. It has everything a family could want such as a beach, indoor and outdoor pool, Kids Club, onsite restaurant, and family activities.  With a resort like this, you may be tempted never to leave it.  However, the best part about staying at a Red Jacket Resort is you can use all the amenities of all five resorts! It makes planning your vacation so simple!

Our room was an Oceanview Family Room. In the master bedroom were two queen-size beds with cozy mattresses and pillows, a refrigerator, flat-screened TV, and wireless internet. Our bathroom had amazing water pressure.  It felt like getting a massage after playing outside all day.

Our second bedroom had a set of bunk beds, a TV, and pocket doors so we were all able to have some privacy.

It had a huge balcony that was the length of the two bedrooms. Look at how spacious it was.

We had the most amazing view.  It was wonderful to wake up each morning and have my coffee out here.

The Red Jacket Beach Resort offers guest rooms, family suites, and vacation homes.  There is an option for families, solo travelers, girls’ weekends, and romantic escapes.

One section of the resort we especially liked were the River Rooms.  They offer a tranquil view overlooking Parker’s River. It was so peaceful.

You also get the most spectacular sunsets.

They were fantastic!

We loved hanging out by the docks at sunset.

The outdoor pool was surrounded by glass which protects swimmers from wind.  This was appreciated on our second day since the wind was blowing like crazy. The pool was heated, and in the afternoon you could listen to the live band playing, enjoy a cocktail from the bar, and get some sun. The pool had plenty of chaise lounges and the resort offers towels for all guests and the staff is always replacing them.

The resort also has an indoor pool, which we enjoyed in the morning before the day got warm. The pool is heated and there were plenty of places to sit, including spots with tables and chairs.  There was also a ping pong table and a hot tub.

The resort has 1,000 feet of sandy, private beach.  The sand is soft and there were lots of chaise lounges.

There is also a jetty on the property, which we walked out to one morning.

It was the perfect place for the girls to do some yoga.  They are always doing yoga!

KIDS CLUB: The Red Jacket Beach Resort has a wonderful Kids Club that runs from 9:30-1:00 Monday-Saturday from June 25-September 2.  Kids can enjoy games such as capture the flog, alien dodgeball, beach kickball, and castle building.  They can do pool games such as water volleyball, Marco Polo, relay races, and water basketball.  They can even enjoy craft, jewelry design, and art projects. My girls would have used the club if we had stayed longer.  It’s a great time for parents to enjoy some adult time.

Since many people want to enjoy time together as a family, the resort also offers many family activities.  These include beach yoga, pool yoga, fishing derbies, kite building, poolside bingo, tennis, basketball, and live entertainment.  While we were there my girls enjoyed a Gaming Bus filled with video games. It was a huge hit since there’s no screen time while on vacation!

We also played corn hole

and roasted marshmallows.

SPA: Otis Cole Day Spa features massages, facials, and body treatments.  The spa smelled amazing and looked inviting when we walked by.  I wish I had time to get a treatment. Check out the services they offer.

RESTAURANT: The hotel serves a wonderful breakfast that allows you to order off the menu or dine at the buffet. We had hearty breakfasts here each morning that kept us full until late in the day.  They also have a themed buffet each night for dinner.  We enjoyed BBQ Night.

Click here to for a link the themed buffets.
