LOCATION

The location of Hotel Indigo can’t be beat.  It is within walking distance to downtown Sarasota and all its trendy restaurants and shops. Just look at what’s around:

St. Armand’s Circle (Where you can shop to your heart’s desire) 1.5 miles

Lido Beach (Clear blue water and powder white sand) 3 miles

Mote Aquarium (Manatees, otters, sharks…) 4 miles

Marie Selby Botanical Gardens (A Zen oasis) 1.5 miles

Siesta Beach (Often on the list of Best Beaches in the US) 7.5 miles  

 

CHECK-IN

The staff at the front desk was very kind and made check-in so easy, even though we arrived early.  We were told about the amenities of the hotel and they pointed out the pool area and where extra parking was.  They were always very sweet as we walked by and would ask us how our day was going.  As we walked through the hotel we loved seeing the stunning murals that depict areas in the neighborhood.  We were also pleasantly surprised to hear that they have several pet-friendly rooms.   

OUR ROOM

There are 95 rooms in this lovely four floor hotel so they are able to give each room a personal touch.  When we walked in we were pleased to find chocolate covered pretzel rods waiting for us.  On one wall was a large mural of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and it created a tranquil feeling.  Our room had two queen size beds and a great wardrobe to hang our clothes.  It was tastefully decorated with a crisp white décor and pops of color throughout. 

The hotel is very environmental conscious and they have a carafe in each room that you can fill up at the hydration center in the main lobby. We loved that!

BATHROOM

I may have dreams about this shower! It was so large and had strong water pressure.  I am picky about hotel bath amenities and I was shocked to see the Hotel Indigo offers Aveda Rosemary Mint shampoo and conditioner.  They are my favorites and a rare find in hotels.  The hotel also offers powerful blow dryers, unlike many that offer the weak wall unit ones.

POOLS

There are two wading pools at Hotel Indigo.  One is cold and one is warm.  There is plenty of room to lounge around the pools and then take a dip.  The pool area is beautifully decorated with palm trees and a gorgeous fountain.  You would never know you were in the middle of the city.

H20 BISTRO

The hotel’s restaurant, H2O Bistro, is decorated in a relaxing beach décor. We had a tasty lunch there as well as breakfast both mornings.  The lunch menu had a nice selection of salads, panini, and appetizers.  The breakfast menu featured meals such as omelets, eggs Benedict, and parfaits.

RESORT AMENITIES

There is complimentary Wi-Fi in all rooms.

Workout time! With all the yummy restaurants in Sarasota, you may want to head over to their fitness center.  It is open 24 hours and has weights as well as machines.

Feel like getting some fresh air?  You can rent a bike from the hotel and it is a beautiful way to get around.
