First impression
When I pulled up, I immediately got classic Vermont inn vibes—think warm wood finishes, lodge charm, and friendly staff that make you feel like family. The vibe here is relaxed and welcoming, like a home away from home with a rustic twist.
Upon arrival, the inn’s classic New England architecture immediately sets a welcoming tone. The recent 2024 renovation is evident, as the property beautifully marries its 1964 origins with contemporary updates. The staff greeted me warmly, making me feel right at home from the moment I stepped through the door.
The inn doesn’t have a traditional lobby since they are self-check-in, a concept that is becoming more and more popular. Before their arrival, guests receive instructions on how to check in to their room, codes to the front door as well as their room, and even how to access closets with water, shampoo towels. list of local restaurants and activities nearby. Since the inn has around 20 rooms, you feel like you’re staying in a friend’s home.
Let me show you around my room.
The inn offers a variety of rooms, each thoughtfully designed to provide comfort after a day of exploring. I stayed in a
Mountain King
The first thing you’ll notice when you walk into the room is the gorgeous accent wall that depicts life on a ski mountain. The skiers riding a ski lift within trees blanketed in fluffy snow immediately set the tone.
The room had a huge window that allowed natural light to flow in.
Not only did my room have a stunning view of Mount Snow, it also had a view of the river. I bet this view would be fabulous in any season.
My room had a comfortable king bed with a wooden canopy and the pillows were amazing.
The fireplace was a cozy and unique addition that would set the mood in colder months.
The sitting area is the perfect place to read because of all the light and I loved the leather pillows. It was a nice place to relax.
The room had a refrigerator so you can store snacks and beverages. I happened to buy some local cheese in town (A sage cheddar and a truffle cheddar…Heaven!) so it was the perfect place to keep them chilled.
My bathroom was large and had an amazing marble tiled shower. It had lots of water pressure and was so beautiful. I love the personal touches like the magnifying makeup mirrors and wooden ladder towel holder.
As much as I loved my room, I couldn’t wait to explore the hotel. Let me show you around.
