Walk Marginal Way

Starting from Marginal Way’s entrance at Sparhawk Oceanfront Resort on Shore Road, you’ll begin your scenic walk. This beautiful, coastal path stretches over a mile and offers stunning views of the Atlantic. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the rugged coastline of Maine.

It’s an easy path, and along the way, you’ll find benches to sit and take in the scenery.

Perkins Cove Pottery Shop is one of my favorite. The handmade pottery is beautiful and it has lots of home décor.

Are You Really in Maine if You Don’t Get a Lobster Roll?

For lunch, grab a lobster roll from Footbridge Lobster. People also like The Lobster Shack but I personally like Footbridge better.  Their rolls are sweet and they use both mayo and butter…you have to try it.

Next, walk over the – bridge and enjoy the view on your way to your next stop.

Visit the Ogunquit Museum of American Art

Spend some time exploring this small but impressive museum. It’s right on the coast, so you get both art and ocean views in one stop.

A Portsmouth Fisherman by Howard Lathrop

Make sure you explore the sculpture garden, paths, and views.

Dinner at Oarweed Cove Restaurant

Want a fabulous dinner with an unforgettable view? Check out Oarweed Cove Restaurant.  It’s right at Perkins Cove, so you can enjoy the ocean breeze while feasting on fresh seafood. They have fabulous cocktails…I recommend the crabmeat salad and the Blueberry Lemon Drop.

Take a Boat Tour

If you have time, hop on a scenic boat tour from Perkins Cove. It’s a great way to see the coastline from a different perspective and maybe even spot some local wildlife.
