St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park
If you’re planning a trip to St. Augustine, Florida, a visit to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is a must. Located at 999 Anastasia Boulevard in St. Augustine, this historic attraction has been captivating visitors since 1893. It’s not just about alligators; the park offers a diverse range of exhibits and experiences that make it a great destination for families, wildlife enthusiasts, and adventure seekers alike.
What to Expect
As you wander through the park, you’ll encounter a variety of exhibits showcasing reptiles, birds, and mammals from around the world.
You also get introduced to other animals. Here were some of my favorites:
Prevost’s Squirrel
Kimono Dragon
Baby Crocodiles
Albino Alligator
Macaws
Galapagos Tortoise
I had no idea how many different varieties of alligators existed.
Looking for an Adventure?
For a unique perspective, consider taking on the Crocodile Crossing zip line, which lets you soar above the exhibits for a bird’s-eye view.
Animal Encounters/Tours
Animal encounters at the Alligator Farm provide an exciting opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the zoo’s most fascinating species. Some of the encounters you’ll find include:
Rainforest Sloth Encounter

Behind the Scenes Tour
Bring some quarters to fee the crocodiles little pellet food.
Don’t tell kids…but it’s educational. Ssshhhh.
The farm is filled with interesting facts about the animals. I always wondered how to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocodile.
