I love cooking for my family, but sometimes it’s a hassle finding a healthy recipe, going grocery shopping, getting all the ingredients prepped, and figuring out how to make it. That is why subscription boxes like Sun Basket are a wonderful idea for people who would like to spend more time out having adventures and still being able to put an amazing meal on the table.
What do I love about this box?
I love that this box allows you to choose specific diets such as:
Paleo, Vegetarian, Lean & Clean, Gluten-Free, Pescatarian, Mediterranean.
I also love that they use hand–selected seasonal ingredients from the country’s top farmers, ranchers and seafood purveyors. They also use organic produce, responsibly raised meats free of antibiotics and added hormones, and sustainably sourced, and wild-caught seafood.
The recipes were easy to understand and the ingredients were all fresh. I also appreciate that these meals all took less than 30 minutes to prepare.
What comes in each box?
Everything you need to complete some delicious meals!
Paired with easy-to-follow directions.
What did we get?
We received three amazing meals!
Korean BBQ chicken lettuce cups with kimchi
My friend and I made this together for dinner one night while our husbands were golfing, and we loved it. We had fun splitting up the cooking tasks and sipping wine while we chopped and sauteed.
In the end, ee felt like we were eating at a fabulous restaurant.
The meal was perfect!
Meatballs with mushroom ragu over wilted cabbage
My youngest and I made this for lunch one day and she really liked it. We had fun making the meatballs and frying them up.
The mushrooms and tomatoes were a nice combination.
I was surprised because she doesn’t usually like cabbage.
Thai turkey lettuce cups with pickled carrots
My girls and I ate these for lunch and they were one of our favorites. They were quick to make since the filling was pre-made. It was perfect to eat a light, fast lunch before going back outside to swim.
We also received several delicious snacks!
These would be great snacks to take to the beach!
Dark chocolate peanut butter bites
Almond butter and puffed quinoa chocolate bar
Cacao-nectar bar, lavender red rose
We tested these out each night after dinner. They were all fantastic!
