When you think of Nassau, it’s hard not to picture the picturesque towers of Atlantis Resort. This 141-acre water scape can be your playground for the day when you buy an Aquaventure Day Pass.
So, what is included in your Atlantis Aquaventure Day Pass?
Water Slides – 18 thrilling water slides
River Rides – The Current & The Rapids
Pools – 11 distinctly different pools
Beach – Miles of white sand & crystal water
The Dig Aquarium
Lounge Chairs & Towels
My girls were at Atlantis for one reason…the water park! With 18 different water slides, it was hard to decide which to go on first. Here were some of our favorites:
Rapid River: It’s like a lazy river that has had way too many cups of coffee! With 9 entrances/exits, it’s a great way to get around the park.
Serpent Slide: This one was my favorite rides because you get the thrill of a twisted water ride on a tube that ends with a relaxing float in a tunnel with sharks on the other side of the glass.
Challenger Slide: My youngest daughter loved this one since it brought out the competitive side in her as she raced her sister!
Jungle Slide: This one was a little slow, but still so much fun.
POOLS: There are 11 pools at Atlantis! It’s pretty amazing that you can have so many choices! We spent some time at the Coral Pool. It’s a great pool for all generations with a swim-up bar, lounge chairs, and shaded cabanas surrounding it.
Look at how beautiful the Royal Baths are!
BEACHES: There is so much to do at Atlantis we didn’t have enough time to explore any of their beaches. They have three amazing beach areas: Cove Beach, Paradise Lagoon, and Atlantis Beach.
The Dig
You’ll feel like you’re on a magical journey through the streets and tunnels of the fabulous lost city of Atlantis.
With over 50,000 aquatic animals, it is not like any aquarium you’ve ever experienced.
The sights and sounds of the tunnels transport you to another world and we all loved it! We saw piranhas, tropical fish, sharks, jellyfish, Moray eels, and so many more.
There was also a touch tank that had conch, sea urchins, starfish, sea cucumbers, crabs, and horseshoe crabs, but since it was the end of the day, it was closed when we were there. It was such an incredible section of the resort!
All around the park you’ll see beautiful buildings that will make you feel like you’re in another world.

Tips for a Perfect Day at Atlantis
Get there early before the crowds. It gets VERY busy some days.
Purchase a pass ahead of time to avoid waiting in lines.
There are lots of places to have lunch and dinner, although you may want to make reservations ahead of time for dinners.
Don’t forget sunscreen! I would recommend bringing a travel size to carry in your waterproof pouch if you don’t plan on going to your belongings very often.
Bring a waterproof case to store your phone, cash, and credit card.
Lockers are available to rent.
Since they allow cruise ships to purchase day passes, you may want to choose a day when less ships are in port.
Towels are provided but you may need a beach bag to carry around all your stuff since it’s such a large water park.
A huge THANK YOU to Atlantis for having us as your guest. We had a fun-filled day and we can’t wait to return the next time we’re visiting the Bahamas. As always, all experiences and opinions are 100% that of MyTravelingKids.com.
