As parents, we often put our kids ahead of everything…including our relationship.  We fall into a routine and don’t take the time to nurture ourselves as a couple.  Well time to dust off the romance and step it up a notch.  Dates don’t have to be pricy or complicated (But babes…if you’re reading this, know that my passport is always ready!) it just has to be the two of you spending some quality alone time together…ALONE…can’t stress that enough. (Sorry kiddos!) But let’s face it, who has the energy to actually plan these dates and make sure they keep happening?  I’m happy to say that it does not have to be you!! What do I love about this box?

The whole idea of a date box is perfect because since it comes every month, it is a reminder that it’s time for some lovin’… (Yeah…that didn’t come out the way I meant it!)  As much as my husband and I WANT to have a date, sometimes we’ll look at each other and not be able to remember the last time we actually made it happen.

What do I love about this box?

The theme of this box could not have come at a better time…Health and Wellness!  I took my daughter to get X-rays a few days ago and there were several people wearing face masks and, I swear, it’s what has gotten me sick! OK, it’s probably just a cold, but since it’s a snowy day I may take advantage of it and lie around in PJ’s and enjoy this box.

BarkBox Review

Some of you may know that I have a new guy in my life that I’m absolutely crazy about…THIS GUY…

If you’re a dog person, you know how hard it is to not spoil your little friend… they deserve it.  Finnegan was more than happy to help review BarkBox, a monthly subscription box for dogs.  What I like most about this company is they are crazy dog people like myself. I want to sneak over to their office since they say it’s filled with dogs barking, burping, wrassling and chirping.  Now THAT’S an office I could go to each day!  Since first launching in 2012, BarkBox has shipped over 50 million toys and treats, so they really know their stuff!

Host the Perfect Cocktail Party with ROOT 23

 

The holiday season is always a time for us to stay closer to home and spend time with friends and family.  Every once in a while, cocktails are involved…hahaha…who are we kidding…cocktails are ALWAYS involved!  Often, these are last-minute get-togethers and so I always like to be prepared.

When ROOT 23 asked if I wanted to test out some of their simple syrups, I was more than happy to host a few cocktail hours!  ROOT 23 specializes in the farm to cocktail movement, using organic sugar and locally sourced ingredients, and they provided two syrups for us to taste along with six cocktail recipes.  I decided to divide it into two different tastings (You’re welcome liver).

Green Kid Craft

 

One of the biggest benefits of travel is being exposed to different experiences.  I am constantly looking for ways to spark the creativity and curiosity in the minds of my daughters, so I was thrilled that we were given the opportunity to review a Green Kid Craft box.
