Hand Care Product Roundup

I have been religiously following the 20 second rule of washing your hand…doing it so often that my hands have become red, cracked, and raw.  Add in hand sanitizer and my hands have been a disaster! I needed to do something about it, so I decided to give them a little TLC.  Here are 3 great products that have my hands looking great.

Enjoy!

MaqueBAR Moisture & Nourishing Hand Mask

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:  Many people are experiencing the effects of washing their hands and using bleach wipes.  Hands are becoming dried, chapped, and cracked because of the soap and alcohol.  This hand mask restored my skin by hydrating them, and they came out soft and moisturized.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM: Since they are created as a glove, they were easy to use and actually fun to wear.  (We felt like Minnie Mouse!) What I really liked was it left our hands smooth, without being greasy, like many hand masks do.  (Head over to my Instagram account to watch the video of my daughter and I testing the hand mask out!  It is stored under the tab PRODUCTS) The company also sells an ultra-rich hand cream, but I haven’t tried it out yet.

COST: $9.99

Kind Balm, by The Flowered Life

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:  I was putting several different hand lotions on my knuckles, but none of them seemed to work.  I had just about given up when I remembered I had gotten this balm from a subscription box.  It worked immediately and since then my whole family has been using it.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM: The balm smells like rosemary, so it is also a good form of aromatherapy.  Like any balm, a little goes a long way, so you only have to use a small amount.  I found it too greasy to use on my palms, so I only rubbed it onto my knuckles.  The next day my redness and cracks were gone.

COST: $12.49 (2 oz)

$40 (8 oz)

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:  Since we can’t run out and get a manicure or pedicure right now, it is up to us to find ways to do our own nails.  These polishes are not the same as getting gel nails in a salon because they really only last about a week, but they don’t harm your nails and they have lots of different colors to choose from. It works best when you apply two coats of polish, followed by one coat of the top coat.  I found if you use the top coat as a primer, it will cause the polish to chip right away.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM: You can remove this polish with a cotton ball and regular nail polish remover.  You don’t need to soak them like you do with salon gel nails…which I probably would never take the time to do.  They also have a matte top coat that is so fun to use.

COST: About $10
