Day 1: Pool & Straw Market
I usually spend my first day in the Caribbean hanging out by the pool/beach of my hotel/rental. Make yourself a cocktail and lounge in the sunshine
In the afternoon, head over to the Straw Market to take in some of the local culture. It’s a great place to buy handwoven straw crafts. (Their baskets are amazing.) It is also a nice place to buy souvenirs.
Day 2: Sandy Toes
Take a 25-minute boat ride to the island. So, what is the best thing to do here? SWIM WITH PIGS! I was shocked at how clean the beach/water was with pigs walking around, but it was spotless. They were so adorable and we had fun petting them.
Relax on the hammocks, snorkel, and have lunch.
Day 3: Beach Day:
Trip to the Caribbean would be complete without a beach day. There are so many stunning beaches to choose from. Here are some of the best:
Cabbage Beach (on Paradise Island)
Saunders Beach (great for families)
Junkanoo Beach (popular with people on a cruise)
Cable Beach (near lots of the hotels)
Sandy Port Beach
Love Beach
Jaws Beach
Day 4: Blue Lagoon
We had the most amazing day. First, we had an encounter with adorable sea lions. We got to learn all about them, watch them show off some tricks, and got lots of snuggles and kisses.
Our next adventure was swimming with dolphins. We were able to hug the, kiss them, and listen to them sing. They took us on a Superman ride, pulled us with their fin, and danced with us. They even pushed us while we were on a boogie board. We did the Royal Dolphin Swim, which was an hour and a half long.
There was an inflatable water park, lounge chairs on the beach, hammocks, and crystal-clear water to swim in.
Day 5: Atlantis Aquaventure Day Pass
There is so much to do at Atlantis including:
Water Slides – 18 thrilling water slides
River Rides – The Current & The Rapids (With 9 entrances/exits, it’s a great way to get around the park.)
Pools – 11 distinctly different pools
Beach – Miles of white sand & crystal water
The Dig Aquarium (We loved this aquarium. You felt like you had stepped into an underwater city of Atlantis.
Make a whole day of it and eat all of your meals right on site.
Day 6: Snorkel Cruise
Spend the day on the water snorkeling and enjoying the stunning views of the coastline. There are lots of tours to choose from including party boats, personal charters, and small boat companies. Some companies take you to several hidden beaches. There are full and half day options.
