This place is hands-down the weirdest place we’ve ever been to…and we LOVED it! Every room was odder than the last one and you experience hysterical sensory overload as you go from room to room. There are so many crazy, unexpected items in this museum that I don’t even know where to start. How about if I take you on a little tour of some of our favorite moments?
What’s a museum without some creative works of art? But of course there’s not just ordinary art…there’s a twist. These paintings are made with supplies such as butterfly wings, prescription pills, colored sand, and keyboard keys. How amazing are these?
There were many masks, skulls, and our favorite… a shrunken head.
There was also a vampire killing kit. Ok, this may not be the most kid-friendly item, but my girls know vampires are not real so they saw this as a funny thing you would see in a movie. They think vampires only exist in Scooby Doo cartoons.
There were lots of fun photo opportunities. The girls loved getting silly and kept saying, “Take my picture here.”
We learned about other cultures and that beauty is different for everyone.
One of our favorite exhibits was “Grab the Jewel.” It took me about 10 minutes to convince the girls to put their hand in the mouth, but when they finally did we all burst out laughing. You’ll have to go to the Odditorium to find out what happens.
