Vine Oh! Review

Vine Oh!

I like to surround myself with people that have the same values as myself.  And by values, I mean WINE…you’ve got to like wine! I was so happy to review a subscription box from Vine Oh!, but I had no idea what I had coming!  It is pretty much everything I dream about…all in one box. Vine Oh! is a quarterly box that rewards today’s woman to help her recharge, unwind, and have some time just for her.  Are you kidding me?  Someone must have overheard my friends and I complaining over coffee the other day, because this is exactly what we were saying we need a little help with.  Finally, a box that pampers you and allows you to “Treat Yo’ Self” …  sorry…I’ve watched lots of episodes of Parks and Recreation lately.

What do I love about this box?

First off, I can’t think of too many things I am happier to have delivered to my house than wine.  I almost kissed the delivery guy…almost.  Now add to that some items that every woman would want but probably wouldn’t buy because very often we seem to put others ahead of ourselves.  This box is full of treats just for you, so tell everyone else to lay off! You’ve earned it!

What comes in each box?

Each seasonal box from Vine Oh! includes 2 bottles of wine (you pick either whites, reds or a mix of both), plus full-size items that are fun, rejuvenating, and delicious.

Let’s get to the good part!  What was in my box?  I’m dying to tell you!

First…the wine!

2016 New Crush Santa Ynez Valley Riesling ($22.99)

A new crush is exciting and often unexpected. It’s a time to savor the moment. This feeling inspired their New Crush wine.  It delivers a balance of ripeness and sweet flavors with aromas of Jasmine, white pepper, lemon zest, dried apricot, and a touch of wintergreen notes creating a sweet, delicious finish.

2015 Mad Love California Cabernet Sauvignon

($22.99 but when I was writing this it was on sale for $15)

Cabernet is my favorite wine and this one did not disappoint. It has aromas of black raspberries, vanilla, and cocoa and flavors of black cherries and sugar plums.

Now…all the goodies!  They give you individual cards that tell about each product.  I love when boxes do this because I like to know what the ingredients are. So, what did I get?

Mixture Sugar Balm Scrub ($36)

I couldn’t wait to test this out since my skin is starting to hate me because fall is here, and the cold weather is already making me dry.  The scrub has an earthy, vanilla-like scent that is strong but not overpowering.  This balm scrub brightens and invigorates dry, dull skin. My arms felt smoother after just one shower and it didn’t leave an oily feel to my skin.

Trapp Candles 50-Hour Poured Candle ($29)

A girl can never have too many candles…am I right? However, candles can be really expensive so I’m pretty picky.  Well, there is literally the equivalent of a bottle of perfume in each poured candle! I decided to test this one out when I took a bath and this Tea & Oad Wood scent made my entire bathroom smell like a spa.

A Day in the Life Planner ($12)

Who doesn’t need a little organization in their life? Well…besides that one woman we all know that somehow seems to always have it all together.  Maybe she uses this planner?  This stylish planner pad is perfect to plan out my hectic week!  I am going to take two sheets to Staples and have them laminated so my girls can plan out their homework and tests each week.

Brownlow Gifts Insulated Drink Sleeve ($6)

This colorful and trendy neoprene drink sleeve will keep any bottle or can cold and your hands warm.  I can’t wait to use this at the lake next summer on our sunset boat rides.  I love the design and the saying is perfect!

Dutch House Caramels ($10)

So, you know I gave up sugar this summer, but these caramels looked so good I would have eaten them all up if my kids hadn’t been standing next to me when I opened the box.  So, I didn’t taste any, but the neighborhood kids that were over all loved them and were more than happy to be my taste testers.   They said they were soft, and they didn’t stick in your teeth like lots of caramels do.  I love that they are naturally gluten-free!

As if all that wasn’t enough…I got two extra things and so can you!!!
