DAY 1
We always spend the first full day enjoying our hotel and spending time in the sun and sand with our family. Splash in the pool or head to the closest beach and soak up all the sunshine!
After playing in the sun we had to do a few errands. Since we stayed at a condo, we went to the market to load up on local food to make for breakfasts and lunches. We found a farmer’s market and bought delicious local fruit and vegetables.
After lunch, we rented jet skis on 7 Mile Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean. With its soft white sand, turquoise water, and calm waves, it’s perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or paddleboarding. Take a leisurely stroll along the shoreline, and don’t forget to snap some photos of the stunning ocean views.
Dinner: Deckers Caribbean Grill  This is a fun beach bar where you can sit with your feet right in the sand. This local favorite known for its relaxed vibe and delicious dishes. Their fresh seafood, jerk chicken, and tender steaks are crowd-pleasers, but the star of the show is their signature all-you-can-eat lobster night. Pair your meal with a tropical cocktail for the perfect end to your first day in paradise.
DAY 2
Our morning was spent by the pool before heading out to do some exploring.
Lunch: Macabuca Oceanside Tiki Bar and Grill  Your stunning view of the rustic coast line is of jagged rocks with waves crashing on them. the ideal lunch spot for fresh Caribbean flavors with a laid-back vibe. Enjoy dishes like conch fritters, lionfish tacos, and jerk chicken while watching the waves crash. The views here are unbeatable, and it’s a great spot to fuel up before your next adventure. Try the conch chowder.Â
After lunch we walked across the street to the Cayman Turtle Center. Learn all about these adorable animals, learn about conservation efforts, and even get to hold some baby turtles. The farm also has sharks, colorful birds, and fish. You can also snorkel here, but we didn’t do it. It’s a fun and educational experience for all ages, offering a unique way to connect with the island’s marine life.
Dinner: Cracked Conch  This was one of the most beautiful outdoor settings I have ever eaten at in the Caribbean. Ask for a table near the edge of the water so you can watch the night divers. This is one of Grand Cayman’s top-rated restaurants. Their menu highlights local seafood, with standout dishes like cracked conch, lobster risotto, and ceviche. The waterfront setting adds a romantic touch, making it a great choice for a memorable meal.
DAY 3
We did a fun 3-hour boat excursion that stopped at Stingray City, where we swam with stingrays at a sandbar. This unique sandbar is home to friendly stingrays that you can swim with and even feed. It’s an unforgettable experience and one of the island’s top attractions for good reason. We also stopped at two different places to snorkel, including the Barrier Reef. Â
Dinner: The Wharf Another perfect outdoor dining experience. picturesque waterfront restaurant offering fresh seafood and international cuisine. Their nightly tarpon feeding event is a highlight, so plan to arrive early to catch the action. With dishes like seared scallops, crab cakes, and their signature key lime pie, The Wharf offers an elegant yet relaxed dining experience. Ask to sit by the edge so you can enjoy watching the tarpon. Â
DAY 4
Spend the morning at Queen Elizabeth Botanical Park enjoying the flowers and trees on this 60-acre piece of paradise. It is a a peaceful oasis filled with vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and rare wildlife like the Blue Iguana. Wander the shaded trails and take in the beauty of this natural gem.
After lunch, head over to the Cayman Crystal Caves. Marvel at the sparkling stalactites and stalagmites as you learn about the caves’ history and formation. It’s a fascinating way to explore a different side of the island. All visitors receive guided walking tours. Tours are approximately 90 minutes and take you through the surrounding tropical forest area and three spectacular caves. You must make reservations for tours. Â
Dinner: Agua Restaurant It looks fancy but is actually very kid-friendly. Known for its creative seafood dishes and chic atmosphere, Aqua offers plates like tuna tartare, miso-marinated black cod, and local snapper. Their exceptional wine list and impeccable service make this an unforgettable dining experience. The seafood was so fresh and it had incredible cocktails.
DAY 5
Today was another pool/beach day.Â
If you feel like an excursion, go on a boat tour that takes you to Starfish Point, a sandbar where hundreds of red starfish live in the crystal-clear water. At this secluded beach you can see starfish in their natural habitat. The shallow, calm waters make it a great spot for wading and taking photos, and the peaceful vibe is the perfect way to wrap up your trip.
Dinner: Rackam’s Waterfront Bar and Grill  Reserve a seaside table and get there before the sun sets. Feast on dishes like fish tacos, jerk pork, or their famous lionfish while enjoying the ocean views. It’s a laid-back spot to savor your last meal on the island.

Tips for a Great Trip to Grand Cayman
-Eat as much local fish as possible. We loved eating the grouper, wahoo, and sea bass.
-Get out on the water…diving, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, etc. They have breathtaking coral reefs.
-Don’t go to Hell (a town that tourists flock to for some reason.)
-Money is in CI.
-It’s a VERY expensive island…excursions, cabs, and food.
-Don’t do a Stingray City excursion if the water is choppy and most kids can’t stand at the sandbar. It can be scary for husbands kids when the large stingrays come up to them.Â
