Travel is expensive and takes time away from work.  It is time-consuming to plan and is filled with unknowns.  So why go through the hassle? Because travel gives you something that nothing else can.

I recently collaborated with Beth from Lifesendlessadventures.com on a piece where several travel bloggers share why we travel.  Check it out!!

Portland Science Center

You slowly make your way through the ship, passing the 1st and 3rd class accommodations.  You hear the band sadly playing on the deck and you slide your hand over the large piece of ice as you hear the words that will change your life forever…Titanic is Sinking!

Epicurean Hotel mytravelingkids.com

Foodies, take note: your dream destination exists here in Tampa, FL. Epicurean Hotel offers a unique take on the hotel concept. They have strived to create a culinary-focused experience for their guests – one that combines a love of great food and wine with an equally strong desire to create lasting memories for all who pass through their doors. Although my kids and I had an amazing time at this hotel, it is probably a hotel I’d choose for a romantic night away with my husband or a girl’s weekend.  Click below for our experience.

Reflections Spa

When we travel, we are always on the go and I often forget to leave time for relaxation.  When we go to theme parks in Orlando it often involves crowds, endless lines, and aching feet.  But all that changed when I stepped into Reflections Spa, located in the Lake Buena Vista Resort Village and Spa.  They offer many treatments such as massages, facials, manicures and pedicures.  But the treatments are not your typical ones…they include elements from nature such as stones, warm milk, honey, coconut water, and cane sugar.  Click below to read all about my experience at this spa.
