New England’s Finest Subscription Box

New England’s Finest

I love everything about New England…covered bridges, quaint inns, changing foliage…the air even smells crisper here.  I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else, which is why I am absolutely in love with New England’s Finest, a subscription box that is all about New England distinct flavors and charm.  Every box has a theme and the items are specifically chosen for it.  Take a peek…

What do I love about this box?

The theme of this box could not have come at a better time…Health and Wellness!  I took my daughter to get X-rays a few days ago and there were several people wearing face masks and, I swear, it’s what has gotten me sick! OK, it’s probably just a cold, but since it’s a snowy day I may take advantage of it and lie around in PJ’s and enjoy this box.

The company’s mission is to curate and deliver the best New England has to offer- from the Cape to Beantown to the White Mountains.  Sounds perfect to me.  The only thing that would make it better is if Danny Amendola delivered it to your door.  (Insert long sigh!!)   New England’s Finest has a commitment to quality, community, and sustainability and they like to work with small companies that share the same values.

One of the best things about New England’s Finest is they donate a free box to a family receiving care at Boston Children’s Hospital for every 12-month subscription purchased.  I love when companies give back to their community.

What comes in each box?

Each box contains 4-6 high-quality products from New England craftsmen and artisans.  They also include a full-colored newsletter with information about the products and companies that contributed to the box.  And the best part is the products are not trial sizes!

The boxes have a theme each month like Summer BBQ, Fall Harvest, For the Guys, Sweets and Treats, and many more.  They just launched a limited edition “Classic New England” gift box. It’s worth checking out.

What was in our box?  So glad you asked!!!

FARM TRUE GHEE (RI)

I’m obsessed with ghee lately so I was so excited to see this in the box.  Ghee is a cooking oil they make from slowly cooking grass-fed butter until the milk separates from it.  This makes it a dairy-free oil.  My body has a love/hate relationship with dairy so this product is great for me.

My husband is traveling tonight so that made it Breakfast for Dinner Night! (whoop whoop…haha…that’s a whoop for the meal…not for him traveling) I used the ghee tonight to make an egg scramble.  It came out so good!

UNTAPPED MAPLE SYRUP (VT)

Nothing screams New England more than maple syrup.  Only after moving to Vermont for college did I discover true maple syrup.  (Ugh, I can’t believe I ever used ‘pancake syrup.’) The syrup comes in five individual packages so you can travel with them.

We made pumpkin waffles for breakfast and the maple syrup was a perfect way to top them off! The girls even asked for seconds!

RED BEE WILDFLOWER HONEY (CT)

This honey is so tasty and I love the fact that it is produced in limited quantities by hand.  You can taste the care put into it.  I also love that not all bottles are the same because the taste is determined by the type of flowers the honeybee visits.

I’m trying to cut down on coffee so in the afternoon I have been brewing some tea instead.  This honey paired perfectly with chai tea.

HOPE BARS: PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE & ALMOND COCONUT (NH)

These quinoa bars were so good they tasted sinful.  They are dairy-free, gluten-free, non-GMO, and vegan.  My girls loved the peanut butter one but I fell in love with the other.  I love anything that has coconut! These would be perfect to grab on the way to the gym or for an afterschool snack.

AUKALIFE ORGANIC SUPERFOOD SUPPLEMENTS (MA)

I was so curious to have these since I’m always looking for ways to add more superfoods to my diet.  You can add them to smoothies, yogurt, or water.  The box contained two kinds…Energy and Detox.

Today is the Superbowl and my boys are playing so I need to finally kick this head cold.  I decided to drink the detox as a tea since it has matcha powder in it.  I even used some of the Red Bee honey in it.
