The Port Inn, Portsmouth, NH

Portsmouth, New Hampshire is one of my favorite coastal towns in New England.  The town is dear to my heart because we had our wedding reception in town and since then have created many family memories here. Portsmouth is only an hour north of Boston and just over the bridge from Maine.

When looking for a hotel in Portsmouth, location is key.  The Port Inn is centrally located and has amazing accommodations for the entire family.  Please click below to read all about our stay at the Port Inn.

Hilton Mystic- Mystic, CT

As soon as we walked into the Hilton Mystic we felt the nautical atmosphere all around us.  From the port hole mirrors to the water cascading down the panels of the walls, there’s no mistaking the charm of maritime New England.  When we checked in we were given a choice to what floor we wanted to stay on.  When we said we had no preference they suggested if we were planning on using the pool we could stay in that wing.  We ended up loving that location because there is nothing worse than riding up in a cold elevator after swimming.

Who would have guessed that prison could be so romantic?  If you stay at only one hotel in Boston it has to be The Liberty Hotel.  It is such a unique experience with spacious rooms and 5 restaurants/bars.  This hotel stands where the Charles Street Jail once stood and they have played on that to give you a taste of Boston’s history.
