Wentworth by the Sea

6 months ago, my sweet family gave me a spa getaway to the Wentworth by the Sea, in Newcastle, NH, and I finally decided to pack my bags and go.  There’s no place that relaxes me more than being on the seacoast, and I was excited to breathe in the ocean air and recharge.  Spa…restaurants…and an amazing view!!

Tips on Seeing the Palau Dalmases Flamenco Show in Barcelona

Although there are lots of places to watch flamenco dancing in Barcelona, Spain,  it becomes an unforgettable experience when you find an authentic, high-quality show.  One of the most memorable nights we had in Barcelona was when we visited the Palau Dalmases. I can hardly wait to tell you all about it!

Where is Palau Dalmases located?

Tucked into the dark side street of Calle Montcada, the former Baroque Palace hosts nightly performances.  Since it is right near the Picasso Museum, we decided to visit the museum before our show. You may miss this unimposing doorway if you’re not paying attention.

October Product Roundup: Products I Loved While Camping This Summer

As many of you know, we spent A LOT of time outdoors this summer camping each weekend while our house was being built.  We got to experience lots of different products and these are a few of my favorites! So…the Product Roundup for September is all about products you can use while CAMPING! Enjoy!

Kachula Adventure Blanket

WHY TRAVELERS WILL LOVE THEM:  When you’re traveling, you need to expect the unexpected.  This blanket is the most versatile I’ve seen.  You can take it with you to the beach, the park, camping, on road trips…it’s endless. Feeling sleepy? This blanket stuffs into itself so you can use it as a pillow.  It also has a snap-attached hood so it can be used as an emergency poncho.  There are many colors you could choose from.  Personally, I wouldn’t have chosen the camouflage one, since there were several others that are more my style.

WHAT ELSE I LOVE ABOUT THEM: The top of this blanket is made from a soft flannel material and the bottom is a water-resistant nylon.  We used it last weekend at a soccer game.

COST: $47

Boston Duck Tour: Quacking Your Way Through Boston

It’s always a good idea to take a tour of the city to get the lay of the land, but as soon as you arrive at your Boston Duck Tour you’ll quickly see this will be unlike any city tour you’ve ever taken! Your “DUCK” is actually a WWII style amphibious landing vehicle, which can drive on land and then drive in water! Let me tell you all about my ride…

I got aboard my “DUCK” and met my conDUCKtour, Scott the Milkman, and Joe, our driver, and off we went.  Boston is filled with history and Scott knew it all.  I took in all the facts while admiring the historic architecture of the different neighborhoods.  Through it all, Scott was full of jokes and puns that kept everyone laughing, including the kids that were on my tour.  It’s a fun way for kids to have fun and even learn a little something without knowing it.

We passed many historic/famous places in Boston such as:

10 Tips for Taking Kids on Overnight Flights

BE COMFY: Buttons can be your worst enemy on an overnight flight.  My girls love to dress in yoga pants, a cozy t-shirt, and a big sweatshirt.  They also wear fluffy socks and a pair of sneakers they can take off during the flight.  Layers are perfect when flying because the temperature of planes can be unpredictable.

Hotel Zetta

My husband and I were so lucky to be able to run away to the east coast last month for a kid-free weekend. With only one night to spend in San Francisco, I couldn’t think of a better place to go than the 116-room boutique, Hotel Zetta. A hip San Francisco vibe embraces you as soon as you walk through the door and as you look around you can see this is going to be a fun place to stay. Sorry kiddos…
